Miss me? It’s finals week and things have been crazy! Last final was this morning and I graduate on Sunday!
Today I want to share an oil blend that I LOVE! It is called the Metabolic Blend: a blend of grapefruit, lemon, peppermint, ginger, and cinnamon. This metabolic blend can be used for increased energy, a healthy metabolism, fighting cravings, an addition to a weight management program, etc.
Because this oil blend is made of 100% pure, therapeutic grade essential oils and nothing else, it is safe to consume. Gluten-free, nut-free, vegan, free of any caffeine, stimulants, chemicals, preservatives, colors, or artificial flavors, no sugar or calories. Good luck finding anything similar that is so safe, clean, and allergen free!
Of course, like all related products, the Metabolic Blend is not a cure-all. You can’t expect to drink a little bit of essential oil and have all of your weight management and metabolism woes taken care of! However, this oil blend can help make the process easier when coupled with a healthy diet and exercise.
How does the Metabolic Blend help?
The oils used in the Metabolic Blend are all very energizing, which can help you get the energy you need to get off the couch and get moving! The peppermint, grapefruit, and lemon help reduce appetite. All of the oils promote a healthy metabolism and/or the detox pathways.
I have found this blend to be hugely helpful in my own health journey. Not only do I struggle with low energy, but my biggest struggle for my health is my carb and sugar addiction. By sipping Metabolic Blend flavored water throughout the day, my cravings are greatly reduced. I no longer find myself struggling to fight my cravings, and I find it much easier to eat healthy without feeling deprived! When I take the Metabolic Blend, I am less likely to overeat or be driven to mindless snacking.
I am truly thankful for what a simple blend of oils is able to do for my health!
How do you take the Metabolic Blend?
If you are interested in seeing what this blend can do for you, there are many ways to take it! I personally love the taste. I also find sipping it throughout the day to be the most effective. I put 5-7 drops in my (quite large, and NOT plastic) water bottle and drink that throughout the day. Some days I just have the one flavored water bottle, some days I put it into two refills of the water bottle. I find that less is plenty for me.
Some people don’t like the taste. In this case, there are a few options. You can put the oil in a shot glass of water, and take it all at once. You can put the drops into veggie caps and take it that way, without taste. However, these cannot be prepared ahead of time as the oil will dissolve the capsule.
One thing to be aware of is that this blend is great for supporting detox – the oils help break down synthetic substances in your body. This is great news for your health, but it means that the oils can also do this to your dishes. When drinking water with any citrus oils, do so from a glass or mental cup, not plastic!
