I love essential oils, and many of them have been a huge help for enhancing my health and helping with minor problems. One that I didn’t expect to be so amazing, though, is a soothing essential oil blend.
My first experience with this blend was last fall. My lower back was bothering me. There is a spot that occasionally has what feels like nerve pain. When I’m in good shape, running and doing yoga, it is okay. But at the end of last semester, it was bad and wouldn’t go away. So I decided to try this Soothing Blend stuff. For 3 days I diluted my soothing essential oil blend in fractionated coconut oil and applied it to my back whenever it hurt. In the evening, I would also apply frankincense and lemongrass to promote healing.
Whenever I applied the oils, I would stretch out my back and finally the sharp pain I felt would dissipate. The general pain I felt slowly diminished and now I haven’t felt the back pain in months. I haven’t even been using the Soothing Blend on it – just for that initial relief and then being active to keep my back strong.
Nowadays, I’m getting back into running and using this soothing essential oil blend all the time. I’m taking a running and jogging class that really pushes me. Some days I don’t do much other than stretch and can be fine. Other days…I know I am going to be really sore.
One of my favorite ways to apply the Soothing Blend is as a lotion. It can be bought in already diluted in the lotion, but since I make my own lotion, I simply add a few drops to my lotion as needed. Whether I am just coming off a run or sore from the day before, it instantly makes my legs feel better. I can struggle to walk from sore legs, but a few drops of my Soothing Blend will completely erase that for me! What is even better is that the effects last. It can prevent me from being sore the next day! I cannot express my thanks enough for this soothing essential oil blend and the relief it gives me!
Need one more use for a soothing essential oil blend? I added a few drops of frankincense to a bottle and gave it to my mom. When her hands start to hurt, she just rubs a tiny amount into the knuckles and soon experiences improved joint function. She has also used it with shea butter on my stepdad’s injured wrist for the same perpose. They both love it!
Essential oils are a safe and effective alternative remedy for many things, but in terms of pain relief their benefits cannot be overstated. This blend can also easily be combined with other oils to be customized for a particular symptom. Learn more about how essential oils can help you.
