Notice anything different? Maybe I cut my hair? Is that a new shirt?
Just kidding! Obviously, it’s the blog that got the makeover!
This is something that is WAY overdue. Because, let’s be honest, How We Flourish wasn’t that pretty. I’m sorry, baby. You were just a little duckling. But you’re two now and it was time for you to blossom into a beautiful swan.
Yes, I am talking to my blog. Don’t judge.
Anyway, I really hope you like the new look! As I continue to tweak things, I think you will really appreciate the new organization. I am redoing all of the pages and categories, which should make it much easier to navigate and find what you need.
Do you like it? Please tell me what you think in the comments! While we’re still under construction, I’m happy to take any advice about what will make this blog most helpful for YOU.
But it isn’t just the appearance that is changing. As I mentioned in my previous life update, I am refocusing. I stopped blogging in the spring because I wasn’t inspired to write anymore. It’s time for me to get excited about sharing again.
I sat down and thought about my passions. My number one passion that I have been exploring the past few months is women’s reproductive health. I love Natural Family Planning and I am learning so much as I work through my fertility cleanse. I still have a lot to learn before it is ready to publish on the blog, but I’ve got some big projects I’m working on and I am really excited to bring you along on this journey with me as I learn more about my body and women’s health in general.
My other passion is green living. This has been the focus on the blog since day one, and this has not changed in two years. I will continue to share my love of essential oils on the blog, but I want to go back to what this started as: removing harmful chemicals from the home and using easy and affordable options. For example, I am starting a new skin care routine today (my first skin care routine in longer than I care to admit) and I will not only be sharing the routine, but how much it costs per year.
Finally, as I learn about taking charge of my health and heal my body, I am learning a lot about food and cooking. With such a restricted diet, you can’t help but learn to cook and create your own recipes! I will be sharing posts like Wednesday‘s, but I also hope to share recipes my husband and I make every month or so. All of these recipes will be gluten-free and primal, and as many as possible will be autoimmune protocol (AIP) compliant. These will all be recipes that I can tolerate. If I couldn’t eat it, I’m not going to share it with others. That’s just how I roll.
Most importantly, however, is I am going to post about things that make me feel good and that I enjoy sharing. Not just topics I think I should be posting about. I hope this comes across in my writing and the quality of my posts. I hope you love it.
And that is important to me, too. I’m working on blogging for myself again, but I do want to write in a way that helps other people. That, above everything else, is my passion. If there is something I can do or write about the make this blog a helpful resource for you, please let me know. I will take all suggestions into consideration.
Much love,
Chloe
