Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I hope that you all have great plans. Whether it is a huge family get together, or just you and a couple friends, take this time to remember what you are thankful for.
Today I have dinner with my mom, tomorrow Will and I are driving to his grandparents’, then Sunday we are having brunch with my dad, so it is going to be a week filled with family! I am very excited to see Will’s extended family again. I love spending holiday’s with his sweet grandma.
We do not shop on black Friday. On the rare occasion we need something, we go mid-day on Friday, when the crowds have subsided and it is normal business hours. I hope that you consider doing the same. Tomorrow is a day to be thankful for all that we have. Where is the logic in tearing retail workers away from their families so that you can buy the latest and greatest thing you don’t actually need?
What are you thankful for this year?
At dinner with my mom’s family, instead of saying grace, we don’t dig into the wonderful meal that has been prepared until each person at the table says what they are thankful for.
This year I am thankful for supportive family and new friends. I am thankful that I have the “burden” of coordinating so many Thanksgiving meals with the people I love. I am thankful for the education opportunities given to me, even if I don’t always appreciate them. I am thankful for my health and that I finally ovulated. I am thankful for the job I had this past summer. I am thankful for you, dear readers, for giving this little blog an audience.
I hope you have a wonderful holiday.
What are your favorite Thanksgiving traditions?
P.S. Because of the holiday, there will be no post on Friday.
